Slow Yourself Down

When Temple Run starts moving faster as you rack up the meters, it’s easy to make a mistake. Remember that you can always slow yourself down a couple of different ways.

The most obvious method is to let yourself trip over one of the small branches in the path. This will slow you down without killing you. Try to do it towards the thinner side of the branch.

The second way is to slam yourself into the wall. Either tilt into the wall, or swipe to the side into it. Any way you do it, the monkeys will be on you again and you’ll have to avoid any mistakes until they go away. But it will definitely slow you down, and that can be really helpful. Of course the wall method requires a wall along the path, which isn't always available.

I found it can be hard to remember to do it the heat of the moment. Try to keep it in mind. Also, don't do it right before you have to jump something or you may not make it across at the slower speed. Finally, remember that when you've slowed down you'll need to slow yourself down as well. You'll need to change your timing (immediately) to adjust to the new speed.
